9TH ANNUAL C3 CALEDON KIDS
OF STEEL TRIATHLON
A great race requires four things. Lots of Kids (the race had record numbers); great sponsors (Kinetico, Royal Containers, Benson Steel, Town of Caledon, Riverdale Fitness Mill, Personal Best, Running Free, Pizza Pizza); knowledgeable - caring volunteers (we had over 120 volunteers) and some good luck (it was sunny all day). "The 9th Annual Event was the best in the club's history" said race chairman Rick Jenner. The day included face painting, clowns, the Pizza Pizza Inflatable Castle, dunk-tank and much more.

Caledon's Jade Scognamillo raced in the event and was there to raise awareness for her July Lake Ontario Swim Crossing. The fifteen year old hopes to raise $35 000.00 for Sick Kids Hospital. "We are so excited to support Jade and the C3 Race" said Kinetico's Kevin Leckie. A record number of kids in the 3-6 year age category, put Caledon on the map for the biggest mini-tri in Canada's history. Race organizers want to thank the 120 volunteers who gave up their precious time all weekend and the nearly 800 children who participated in the event.
